Conservation 2.0 (WiFi not included)

A big nitpick I must make: why is there such terrible wifi connectivity in the conference room? Conservation 2.0: internet not included.

From what I gather, the free wifi is only available on the main floor. The other access points have to be sponsored by the host organization. So says the hotel concierge.
